As Diamond City’s wealthiest Ganesha completes 50 years of celebration this year, The organizers have added more shine to the festivities by adding 108 silver Ganesha idols in a specially created pandal of 8,750 sq ft this Ganesh mahotsava
 Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav of Daliya Sheri, known for its Ganesha idol wearing 25kg of silver and gold-plated diamond jewellery, will feature silver Ganesha idols of two feet and four feet, besides a leaf-shaped idol studded with 1,50,000 diamonds accompanied by a 7kg mouse!
Daliya Sheri — located in the middle of traditional diamond trading hub Mahidharpura —
 organizes the festival befitting a diamond centre. The annual pandal attracts nearly 5 lakh visitors and considering the mood and preparations this year, organizers expect more than 6 lakh footfalls this times.
This year they had organised a special yagna, in which 10,000 laddu’s made of special material had been  used to offered as ‘ahuti’ in the yagna. Two yagna kundas, each 30 sq ft, had been made at the venue,” 

The 108 silver idol had been installed outside residences of Daliya Sheri. The lane had a total 125 homes. The residents had offered prayers twice in a day and follow a strict religious routine. The entire lane had been covered under the pandal.
Total 200 volunteers will be managing security and smooth operations of the pandal, of whom 100 had present round the clock. “Actual worth of the jewellery and diamond studded silver idols is not known as most of the valuables are donated. But the jewellery and valuables cost lakhs,” Jariwala added.
